■ Message from the president

Japan Cardiovascular Association (JCVA)

I am deeply honored to be appointed as the President of the Japan Cardiovascular Association. Our association's mission is to promote research on the prevention and treatment of heart diseases and to disseminate this knowledge widely to patients and the public. Heart disease poses a significant threat to the health of many individuals, and establishing effective prevention and treatment methods is urgently needed.

To achieve this goal, our association actively organizes academic conferences and public lectures. We not only provide a platform for experts to share the latest research findings but also conduct lectures and seminars to help the general public understand heart diseases better. Through these efforts, we aim to equip patients, their families, and the entire community with the knowledge needed to prevent and manage heart diseases, thereby aiding them in leading healthier lives.

Furthermore, our association is not limited to Japan; we are collaborating with the International Society of Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy (ISCP) to promote international exchange and information sharing. By cooperating with experts from around the world, we incorporate cutting-edge research and insights and advance heart disease countermeasures from a global perspective. Such international collaboration greatly empowers us to pursue our activities more broadly and effectively.

Ultimately, our association's goal is to enhance the evidence base for drug therapy for heart diseases in Japan. By doing so, we aim to establish scientifically grounded approaches to the prevention and treatment of heart diseases and further develop our association. We sincerely appreciate your continued support and cooperation.

Sincerely,
Masayuki Yoshida
